9 years after the band did music for the video game SteamWorld Heist, they're doing more music for SteamWorld Heist II!

The game SteamWorld Heist II will launch on August 8, 2024 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Steam Deck and PC via Steam.

The robots Rabbit, The Spine, and Zer0 make appearances in the game as themselves, entertaining their fellow robots with catchy tunes!

The album Music From SteamWorld Heist II releases the same day as the game, August 8th, and will feature 15 new original full-length songs written and performed just for the game! That's right! It's a full album-sized album of brand new songs! But wait there's more! The album is also a two-disc album and comes with special instrumental versions of every song on the second disc! 30 tracks in total!

For this album, we've got songs by Rabbit, Zer0, and The Spine with a quasi-nautical theme and of course a plethora of tasty vocal harmonies! We also had Lacey Johnson (our newest live concert backing musician and singer) contribute her instrument and vocal abilities to some of the songs on the album too!

Pre-order any version of the album and get early access to an MP3 of the song "A Life of Un-Delightment", the song that is featured in the game's reveal trailer above! (song will be available to download sometime before August 8th).

Pre-order the Autographed CD or regular CD version of the album by August 8th and also get 4 exclusive 1.25 inch pin-back buttons when your CD ships!

Autographed CD Versions will feature autographs from Rabbit, Zer0, The Spine, and Lacey Johnson.

The physical CD Versions are two-disc albums that include all 15 original songs created for SteamWorld Heist II, plus instrumental versions of those tracks. The two CDs come in a sleek digipak case that unfolds to show a multi-paged lyric booklet!

The Digital Version allows you to download the entire album after it releases directly from our website. You can download the album as either a ZIP file with all files compressed inside, or you may download the album's files individually. Each album track is delivered as a 320kpbs MP3 file. A JPG file of the cover art and a PDF of the lyric booklet are also included.

Q: Do I need to have played SteamWorld Heist I to enjoy SteamWorld Heist II?

A: Nope! You can enjoy the sequel without having played the first one. It's perfect for newcomers! You'll have more backstory and get a few nods to the first game if you're already familiar with it though!

Q: Do I need to play SteamWorld Heist II to enjoy the album? I don't like video games.

A: Nope! The album can be enjoyed all on it's own, you won't be lost, and it also won't spoil any of the game if you listen to it before playing the game.

Q: Will the song featured in the game's trailer, "A Life of Un-Delightment", come to Spotify/streaming services/be purchasable soon? Will we get any other songs early?

A: Yes, that song will release as a single in the future. We don't know the exact date yet, but we'll let you know as soon as the higher-ups let us say. There are no plans for other songs to release earlier than August 8th.

Q: Where can I find your music in the game?

A: The band's songs will pipe in through radios and jukeboxes around the game world in between missions and also be played by the band themselves! The songs also get added into rotation as you hear new ones, with songs you've encountered playing randomly at different locations. There are even songs that play after defeating certain enemies in the game or during key story moments!

Q: A whole second disc of Instrumental versions of every song! So karaoke versions?

A: Not quite! We made instrumental versions of all 15 new songs to be used in different parts of the game and decided it only made sense to make the album as complete as we could, so we're including all the instrumental versions on the second disc on the album.

Q: Will the band perform any of these new songs from this game at concerts soon?

A: OK

Q: Can I play as the Steam Powered Giraffe robots in the game?

A: We made sure to ask the developers during development as it's been a requested feature since the first game, but it didn't make sense for the game's story for our characters to be recruitable to your crew, so no the SPG robots are not playable. However, you will see and interact with Rabbit, Zer0, and The Spine multiple times throughout the game (even more than the first game), and see us playing on stages across the game :)

Q: Are you doing any re-recording old songs like you did for SteamWorld Heist I?

A: Not this time! Instead we've got 15 brand new original songs to make a completely original album for you all!

Q: When will this album come out on Spotify/other streaming services?

A: Music From SteamWorld Heist II will drop on Spotify and other streaming services on August 8th, same with the purchasable versions on our online store.
